About Halff’s Shreveport Office
Halff’s presence in Shreveport was established ten years ago when top leaders at Halff sensed an opportunity to support the engineering design needs of the City of Shreveport. Operations Manager Brandon Aillet was tasked with growing the local office and continues to lead the office today.
Halff’s Shreveport office offers services primarily from three practices:
Working on projects alongside offices across the company has allowed the Shreveport teams to gain regional and multi-team project experience in residential and commercial site development, gas main replacement, GIS database development and many other areas.
A few notable projects from the Shreveport office include the following:
1. Rapides Area Planning Commission (RAPC) Transportation Resiliency Project
Halff was contracted by the RAPC to provide planning, design and survey services for the Transportation Resiliency Through Storm Water Mitigation in Alexandria/Pineville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Urbanized Area project. The purpose of this project is to integrate stormwater mitigation/flood prevention into land use and transportation planning. Halff developed detailed 2D RAS models to accurately depict fluvial and pluvial flood risks inside the MPO.
2. The Resort on Eagle Mountain Lake
The Resort on Eagle Mountain Lake is a multi-phased subdivision development for over 650 residential lots, varying in size and density. The overall development includes an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, a resident-only boat dock, lake access lots and canal access lots. This phase of the subdivision design included 108 lots, with associated residential roadway, sidewalks, water, and wastewater mains and laterals, storm drain, rough and final grading, retaining wall layout and design, platting and construction staking. Shreveport staff prepared the design plans for the 108-lot addition.
3. Louisiana Watershed Initiative Region 4 Modeling Contract
Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LaDOTD), together with Halff and C.H. Fenstermaker & Associates LLC, initiated a project to improve flood risk management in Louisiana using watershed-based solutions. The Region 4 watershed is located primarily along the Texas-Louisiana border, encompassing major streams like the Sabine River and the Calcasieu River. The project included study prioritization, data gap analysis and the planning of detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies for Phase 2. Halff was responsible for project management, modeling and outreach efforts.

They’re also into all things sporty. Pickleball, basketball, frisbee, disc golf, hockey, you name it—they’ve played (or watched) it!
There’s one thing Shreveport does best and that’s celebrating holidays! Their favorite: Christmas. Shreveport employees are full of Christmas cheer, with events happening almost every day leading up to the holiday, from ugly sweater day to decorating gingerbread houses.
The Shreveport office loves having fun as much as they love getting involved with Halff Community Initiative.
